(AllHipHop News) Compton, California rapper Game recently released his highly anticipated mixtape Purp & Patron, which managed to move over 200,000 downloads in just over 24-hours, according to reps for the rapper.

And while that may seem to be an impressive feat, Hip-Hop historians will want to note that Game also managed to pull off an epic collaboration on Purp & Patron, featuring Hip-Hop legends KRS-One, Doug E. Fresh and Big Daddy Kane.

Not only does the track pull together rappers from the West and East Coast, it also marks the first time KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane and Doug E. Fresh have ever recorded in the studio together.

"We was all in the studio at the same time," Game told AllHipHop.com during an exclusive interview. "I got it on camera. Outside of meeting Dr. Dre, that was the best night of my f**king life."

Game told AllHipHop.com that South Bronx legend KRS-One helped put the track together.

Doug E. Fresh, who's popularity has surged due to the "Teach Me How to Dougie" hit single, happened to be in Los Angeles as Game was preparing to record with KRS-One.

Then, a mutual friend reached out to Big Daddy Kane and he flew into Los Angeles to record his part for "History."

"I will never forget it, and I am forever in debt, first to KRS-One, cause he put it together," Game told AllHipHop.com. "Doug E. for being a good friend of mine and coming to the studio. Even KRS said 'Us three never been in the studio at one time, never.'"

The "History" track is taken from Game's new double mixtape Purp & Patron.

The double disc, which is hosted by Funkmaster Flex and DJ Skee, features guest appearances from a who's-who in Hip-Hop, including Rick Ross, Jim Jones, Lil Boosie, Bun B., Mistah F.A.B., Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Fabolous, Lil Wayne, Ashanti, T-Pain, Mysonne, Dr. Dre and others.

(AllHipHop News) The J Dilla Foundation has announced the dates for the second annual "One Won't Do 2: J Dilla Tribute and Fundraiser, which will celebrate the life of one of Hip-Hop's most prolific producers, the late James "J Dilla" Yancey.

J. Dilla died at the age of 32, from complications related to his battle with the incurable disease Lupus.

The Grammy Award-winning producer worked with a who's who of artists, ranging from Janet Jackson and Erykah Badu, to Busta Rhymes and Common, before succumbing to the disease on February 10th, 2006.

A number of Hip-Hop celebrities are slated to attend this year's event, which is headlined by collaborators Q-Tip, T3 from Slum Village and Dilla's younger brother, critically acclaimed rapper, Illa J.

"Dilla was about love in many formats," J Dilla's mother Maureen "Ma Dukes" Yancey told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "One of the things he wanted me to do with his legacy was to use it to help others… kids who were musically gifted but had little hope due to poverty."

The J Dilla Foundation teamed up with entrepreneurial collective Smooth Operators Movement and ThisisRealMusic.com to present this year's celebration, which will donate all proceeds to the J Dilla Foundation, to support its inner city music programs.

The "One Won't Do 2: J Dilla Tribute and Fundraiser" takes place next Thursday, February 3rd at Drom.
The Clipse's Malice Readies Book

The Clipse's Malice is readying the release of his book, Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind & Naked. In an attempt to preview the book, Malice shared part of it by reading an excerpt from it, adding visuals and releasing a short video clip

"I’m proud of this page because like I said in Blog # 1, it’s geared towards the youth (25 and younger). But even if you’re 40 still acting like you’re 25 may you be inspired as well. I want to let the youth know that it’s okay to be unique and original. While it’s so very easy to conform to our surroundings, I’m going to suggest you boldly make your mark."

The video clip explains how Malice turned to God for some guidance at a point in his career, looking to change his ways. More of Malice can be seen at his own blog, Malice of The Clipse

Jay-Z Confirms “The Overbrook Entertainment family and I have a unified vision,” Jay stated. “We've already produced a Tony Award winning play and we're developing a true superstar in WIllow. This venture into film development and production is a perfect next step with teams that are accomplished, creative, and innovative.”

The “Annie” remake would be at least the third time the pair has worked together, after both men were listed as producers of the Tony Award-winning musical, “Fela!” Smith’s daughter, Willow, is also signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint. Willow’s platinum-selling single, “Whip My Hair” has been on Billboard magazine’s Hot 100 singles chart for 13 weeks, peaking at the number 11 spot. Willow would be the second Smith sibling to appear in a major motion picture release. Her brother, Jaden Smith, appeared in 2010’s “The Karate Kid,” which brought in $19 million of gross sales during its opening weekend before eventually crossing the $100 million threshold.

“The time is right to bring back ‘Annie’ to the big screen,” said Colombia Pictures President, Doug Belgrad via written statement. “Of course, we’re true believers in Willow’s talent and believe she will be perfect in this role. Combining Willow with the Overbrook team that re-imagined ‘Karate Kid’ and the spectacular Jay-Z makes this a dream project. A decade ago, Jay-Z proved that the power of the underlying Broadway property remains, by showing how these songs could be reinterpreted for a new generation with ‘Hard Knock Life.’”
